Area codes have transcended their technical origins to become cultural markers that symbolize identity, community, and status. By tokenizing area codes, we are creating an onchain identity for all and bridging the digital and real world.
Areacoined is a long-term project looking to bring together real people for real causes.
There is no question that we are all in "crypto" to make $$$.
But what if - there is a way to make a positive impact in our own communities while staying deep in the trenches and watching charts? What if there's a low-risk way to onboard new people to Base using areacoins that they can identify themselves with? What if there's a way to build a real project that incentivizes both trading and holding by aligning the community's interests?
These are questions we are interested in answering.
How it works
Tokens are created transparently and fairly via a launchpad ("TBD") with locked liquidity pools to prevent rug pulls or any other risk.
The launchpad rewards token creators with fees on trading volume.
90% of the fees generated from trading volume will be donated to a non-profit, preferably an animal shelter, in the respective area code.
5-10% of the fees generated from trading volume will be used for buybacks of areacoins.
